Establishing the ITO EN Brand Aiming to Become a Global Tea Company
ITO EN has group companies overseas, primarily in North America and Asia. In the West, factors such as obesity are drawing attention to the health-promoting properties of Japanese food and green tea beverages. As a standard-bearer for Japanese dietary culture, ITO EN works to deliver that culture not only to Japan but to the rest of the world, based on the concept of developing products that are natural, healthy, safe, well-designed and delicious.
As health-consciousness grew on a global scale, in 1994 we anticipated the spread of green tea beverages by launching our Tea-Producing Region Development Project in Australia.
In December 2013, Japanese food was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. With its deep ties to Japanese food, green tea is steadily making inroads over the world. Through tea, which facilitates bringing people together, ITO EN aims to be a company that delights people around the world.
